Mermaids: romantic, mysterious, beautiful creatures of the ocean.
Since the discovery that merfolk exist, made by a fisherman whose "catch of the century" died of shock within a few hours, humans have been trying to capture a merperson.
A class of individuals calling themselves "Hunters" have set out with the sole purpose to snare a mermaid, some for money, some for prestige, and some for knowledge. No one has succeeded... yet.
