It’s September ‘09. The end of the summer and the beginning of a new school year. The residents of the small city of Carson are getting back into their routines and gearing up for what is sure to be a fantastic year. The teens of the city are begrudgingly going back to class and are still trying to bask in what’s left of the glorious summer. A summer that was full of love, friends, fun and Rockstock.
Every summer, thousands of people journey to Carson for a fourteen-day rock festival, complete with famous bands, swag and parties. For 14 days in July, the city becomes the very centre of attention from the rock world, bringing fans from all over to swarm to hear their favourite bands play. Among the highlights of the festival is the Rockstock Battle of the Bands Day, during which local bands showcase their talent and compete for cash prizes, and recording time at a local studio.
For the next year, they’re gonna up their efforts to gain a large fanbase around the city, for support and their votes during the festival, but not everything is going as planned. Abstract Sound, last year’s champs, are finding it hard to keep their title, and show why they received it. Amp’d is dealing with a band romance gone wrong, and some members of The Lost Boys are having some family problems. Boys Are Toys are suffering from creative conflicts, while Skylight is breaking in a new singer. Blitz The Lights are failing classes, and let’s not get started on Forever Five, who just might not be ‘forever’ after all. So grab an instrument, take your place, and play! We’re ROCKING THE SUBURBS and we’re doing it now!
