The continent of Zurstad has been covered in a deadly energy referred to as the Chi Particle - the life force that binds all life together that also becomes destructive in large amounts (an overabundance of unchecked positive energy without counterbalance). Plant and Insect life have flourished rapidly, reverting the land to primeval forests inhabited by gigantic ferns and dragonflies the size of school buses, but sentient beings such as animals and humans suffer when they come into contact with this energy. Most humans are reduced to soulless shells hungry for sustenance - Zombies - but a tiny percentage, called Chi Conductors, can circulate large amounts of Chi through their bodies and gain immense powers.

This sudden release of Chi, now known among Zurstadans as "the disaster" was due to the murder of Jurga, an ancient nature goddess whose body became a portal of increased Chi leakage across the land. Goddess of mischief and transformation, Ugagi, set aside small pockets of land where the Chi couldn't reach, a desperate attempt to save a portion of civilization. Only fractions of three City-States remain - Kapitol, Tenknoshi, and Anglade. In a world where economy and government has collapsed, what can the civilians of Zurstad do to rebuild their broken lives?

The Chi Particle offers 2 playable races with more to come, nearly limitless opportunities for technology and power creation, a friendly and dedicated admin, and a dynamic plot with its exciting first Arc - Emergence.
